Formula feeding puts the child at a huge disadvantage. Take a look at this-it's a big article, but then the issue is huge too.

There is just no way that formula and breast feeding can ever be compared. If you are returning to work you can pump-express your milk and give it the child in a bottle. Just consider the title of page two; "1000 bottle fed babies hospitalised for every 77 breast fed babies".

I had a friend whose child could NOT nurse. She exclusively pumped for him for six months and continued to pump till he was 14 months old. Yes it is work, but your baby is worth it.

For the record my daughter just turned two, she exclusively nursed till nine months old, and still nurses now.
