Default Choosing an Affiliate program

When you decide that you would want to make money in affiliate programs, you need to do some research and then decide on the ones that you have an interest in. There are many people that are not successful in affiliate programs because they are not taking the time to choose only a few that they are interested in promoting.

Failure to promote your affiliate program will give you a disappointment in the program and not because the program is bad it is because the proper steps are not being taken.

Some, mainly from trial and error. I was the person who signed for everything when affiliate programs first came about in the mid 90's, I promoted mainly on websites that I was able to get listed in SE's very easily in top spaces. But not all the websites got a lot of visitors. I was most successful with the music related as this was my main website.

Well, the thing about search engine traffic is that there may not be a lot of it, but what there is converts if your placement is accurate and your product/service is quality.

This is very true nowdays. in the beginning when there were not many people online it was not the case. But now the key is driving the right type of traffic to the site to make the affiliate program worth your while.

I agree with lalajean, in order to succeed at promoting affiliate programs, it is important that you promote, promote, promote. It serves you well too to advertise to your targeted market to get the best results.
