Default Wired transfers

I have heard a lot about wired transfers where the money simply goes from one account to other instantaniously. Is it different from internet banking? please explain!

I have yet to see any wire transfer go that fast, although I sure wish it would.

1-3 days seems to be the norm, depending on the countries and banks involved.

Does it has security like the regular bank accounts? I wanted to know that because the paypal payment processor allows free wiretransfers to bank accounts. So I thought why not go for free transfers instead of paying big fees for withdrawing funds.

Paypal is safe, I would just never leave enough money in there to make it necessary to do a wire transfer.

I think they are more or less secure, you would provide your banking details to them. The bank would only allow deposits to be made not withdrawal.

Lloyd ...How much do you need to have in your account to do a wire transfer?

If you have $50 and you want to send a $50 wire I am sure they will do it for you. Of course, they will probably charge you $45 to do so.

That's very funny Lloyd. I need to find out though because I would love to withdraw from my paypal account and I don't live in the USA either.

I haven't used Paypal in a while, but when I did all I had to do was tell them to withdraw it to my checking account.

If wire is the only option, I am sure they tell their rates on site.
