Default Building your own table

Was watching a show a couple weeks ago, and they made a pool table from the ground up. It was really cool and did not appear to be too difficult with the right tools. They did a custom job, included a place to put the cue sticks in the bottom of the table.

Did anyone else see this or has anyone ever made one.

I think I would rather have a professionally made one. Can't scrimp on quality when it comes to pool/billiards

Could that have been on "The New Yankee Workshop" on PBS?
I remember Norm made a Poker Table not too long ago.
