Default How many of you enjoy playing billiards?

This is actually a fun past time of my husband and I. The first time we ever went out, we went to play pool with a friend of mine. We had a great time. We used to go every weekend, but have not went in over 2 years now.

Yeah, I used to play every night and was quite good. Unfortunately, I am too busy to go out to a bar every night these days, so my game has suffered as I only play a few times a year now.

I need to buy my own table I guess. . . . or Tanya can get me one for Christmas.

I do. You can put it at my house, then come over when you want to play.

We never go out to play anymore because of lack of time also. I want a pool table too, but we do not have the room in our house. Plus we'll be building a house probably in the next two to three years and I'll get one then.

Bar billiards, now that's something you don't see in pubs all that often anymore. I'm told that 20 years ago there was a table in practically every pub, now it's much more trendy to play pool it seems.

Then again, I'm as guilty as anyone - I used to shoot pool a lot when I was a bit younger and had more time and money. Now I play the occasional game whilst on holiday and not much in between.

Another communication breakdown.

You are quite correct. Billiards and pool are not the same, and you would have to go to a pool hall to find a billiards table around here.

That is one game I never understood, but I always liked the billiards tables that had two of them connected together . . . just never understood the game.
