How do you make money blogging? I understand the profits would come from advertising, but I'm wondering how you go about attracting an audience. What are the best (preferrably free, or cheap) ways to promote your blog?

Find other blogs with similar topics and do a trackback to them by making a comment (not spam) on it.

Do link trades with other blogs.
