| what types of exercising or aerobic activities do your kids participate in? Which ones are better for helping children who are slightly over weight. The fact that children are getting heavier at a younger age is proof that something needs to be done. What are the best exercises for children? How much time should they spend exercising each week? Is physical education in schools neglected? If you have answers, questions or comments please post them here. I would like to know what you think. |

| Well, my kids are in their early 20's now, but when they were little my daughter did gymnastics and swimming as did my son. She was also a cheerleader in elementary school. My son also played Little League, basketball, soccer and football. He also did rollerblades. I used to take them both to the beach to go bodysurfing. |

My daughter became a vegetarian, and did a lot of distance walking and running for exercise. Now she works out at the gym and does yoga (she has been doing yoga since high school). | |
