My child likes to read books and build with blocks. Other than that she really isn't interested in the hundreds of toys she has. Any suggestions as to how I could encourage her to play more?

Sometimes less is more. Perhaps you have too many toys available.

If you give her a brother or sister that should help her

On a more serious note, perhaps play sessions with one or two other kids can help.
