I know that it can sometimes be a big help when you have things to do, especially when they are of ages that require them to be watched. But do you sometimes things that children watch too much TV and Video games. I try to get my son interested in other things, so that he has more interests.

Children definitely watch too much television. It is definitely the fault of the parents. I think that it is too easy to use it as a babysitter. Sometimes television and video games are beneficial in moderation. Video games can be helpful with eye-hand coordination. Some television shows are educational. I think it's all about moderation.

There is no doubt that our overweight generation of children watch too much TV. I think however that it is in part a reflection of how dangerous our society has become, that a parent would rather his child sit and get fat, than be snatched whilst playing in his own back yard. And yes, kidnapping IS a fear of mine. I try and give my child a whole host of things to do. Still, at two years old her attention span is SO short-it only ever gives me a small amount of time to get things done.
