Default would you pay

would you pay 5000 dollars for a pair of shoes if you were capable of doing so. i dont really see myself ever being able to spend money like that even if i had it. its so like a waste.

Depends on the shoes I guess. I have alligators of every color of the rainbow (I can't believe it myself), so I guess if they were very comfortable, would last forever, and caused women to fall over themselves in an attempt to get to me . . . yes.

Even if I had a million dollars I would probably spend at the most $400 - it would be a good business to go into - making custom designed shoes.

A million dollars does not go as far as it used to.

I would never spend that much money for any clothing. I am one of those people that I would rather put it in the bank and let it grow.

Heck no! I'd rather spend that on a down payment on a house or car.

I don't think so. Even if I had Bill Gates' money, I can't see justifying that kind of money on clothing.

I would never spend that much money of a pair of shoes. Those shoes would probably just be worn once anyway and there are much more useful ways of spending money.

I remember many years ago I had a girlfriend that was trying to clean me up, and get me out of biker boots.

We went to an upscale store and she saw some shoes that she thought would look good on me. I turned them over to see the price tag and thought for sure that it must have been a serial number or something as there were far too many digits to be the actual cost.

When the sales person affirmed that this was indeed the price I set them down before taking a chance on damaging them, thus being forced to get a second mortgage on the house to pay for them.

No way in crap would I ever pay that much money for shoes. They are just something to keep my feet from getting sore by walking bare foot-and there are comfortable ones available for WAY less than that, so I can't see the point. I'll pay as much as needed to be comfortable.
