Default Companies you would not work for.

I want to know if there are companies that you would never want to work for? Tell us who they are and why you would not work for them.

I cannot think of any off hand who have caused me to list them as someone I would not work for.

Top of my list would be Nestle. Their morals and ethics are in the dirt and I wouldn't even buy their products knowingly let alone work for them. Next up would be Microsoft, whose world domination is forcing so many other companies out of business, despite that breaking the competition commission regs. Their history and creation too are also nothing to be proud of.

Then there is Coca Cola, and this list could go on forever, so I'll leave it at three.

I hope you don't mind me answering. This is a pet peeve of mine too.

They broke a whole host of marketing/competition rules with aggressive marketing of baby food products. Basically they went into countries like Africa, gave mothers enough (free) formula to feed the baby long enough that the mother's milk dried up, and then started charging full price for it when the mother had no milk left and no other choice.

Formula made under these conditions is terrible-made from unsanitary water that could be carrying parasites and other bugs. The cost means that mothers often dilute the formula too much so baby suffers by not getting enough nutrition. The WHO estimates that 1.5 million children die each year from not being breast fed appropriately.

Rather than go on, a link if it lets me post it this time;

Thumbs down Yak Communications Canada

I would never work for Yak Communications Canada. I had a telemarketing problem with them, recently, and I had to go to the police and CTRTC, to get them to stop calling me. Yak went to such great lengths to avoid my calls, (and those of other's experiencing the same problem), that they even briefly changed their main outgoing automated message to filter out our calls (they redirected us to a fake electrical company message!). They are all about money, and don't care about customer services, unless it directly benefits them financially.

I've been giving this some thought myself and although I have issue with many firms, I think if I became desperate enough I would work anywhere. Better that than starve-but then the golden arches are always hiring, so I guess I wouldn't need somewhere that I didn't like.

I have issue with companies that make disposable diapers, as well as those who make a profit out of polluting our world.

I wouldn't like to work for a company that make things like cigarettes, that is so bad for the individuals, for those around and for the environment on a whole.
