500$ computer parts recommendation PLEASE

Hi i am planning to build a new pc around 500 or 600$. My pc part knowledge is really out of date...like many years old so i need some help here thanks.

If you can, please recommend me some specs, brand, parts. Thanks alot appreciate it.
-I need a motherboard (clueless on how to pick)
-Processor - quad core (i think a 2.4ghz sounds good)
-Graphics card (i game a little bit, 512mb is good, 1gb is good too if not expensive )
-Ram 4gb ddr3 if not 6/8gb ddr2
-1Tb hardrive
-Power Supply - i tihnk ppl said to match ratings according to your mother board and videocard.
-cd drive/ dvd - no need (have from old pc)
-and other minor accessories have from old pc. Thanks alot guys.
-This pc is around 500, 600 including case, (maybe 40-80$ case?)

Not too many reviews on it but it seems pretty decent. Open to any suggestions and comments THANKS

I just read from another forum, if i was to play a game like COD4 MW2, can this 500, 600$ computer handle?
