Brand name computer or do it yourself?

Which do you prefer?

I have always had a custom built computer. After the first one, I have been mostly making my own. I do usually get the cpu and mother board together though. I like being able to get exactly the hardware I want.

But I know there's a lot to be said for name brand computers too. The service and warranty for one thing. If you have problems with a name brand computer, you call that company. With a custom built pc, you might have several places to contact.

I used to do my own, but not enough time. So I order upgrades.

I built my own computer but I need to upgrade it. Or maybe I'll just buy a MacBook.
