I am soon to be moving house and space will be at a premium. I know that I will not be able to set up with big old computer desk that I use right now, so am looking to sell my desktop that I bought in January, and get a laptop. Other than Dell, who sells them at a reasonable price?

Thank you. I have nothing against Dell, it's just that their basic models do not have the features that I need. To add them on as you customize it, completely does away with the benefit of having a Dell (and hence cheap) system. So, if I can find a higher priced system that includes what I need, I may altogether get better value.

Ok let's see..... I need relatively large amount of memory; 2GB, as I max out the PC at that. Storage of 120GB preferred. Speed of the drive is unimportant. Dedicated graphics. 250mb or more preferred, and nVidia preferred to ATI but either will do as long as the graphics card is relatively high end, enough to support Vista in full operation. Don't mind about processor type, but would like it to be dual core. That's the basics. When I am done customising the cheap Dell, it comes in at over $1200, so I might as well look elsewhere to see if there is something that comes already with the specs I need.

Well, dell had a three day sale and I took the plunge. I have a very nice E1505 coming with top of the range everything inside. It's going to take almost a month to get to me though which is a killer! Lots of time to sell this one whilst I wait.
