Default Summer Time Eating?

I will preface by saying that I hate salad. It is not an option. I see all around me that when the weather starts getting warmer people eat more salad, but I cannot do that because I am not a rabbit. Apologies to those who like salad, each to their own

I am looking for ideas for easy to cook meals that won't heat up my house by long hours of the oven or burners being on. Any ideas for quick things would be appreciated.

Do you eat cold salads such as macaroni or potato salad? I really like Suddenly Salad (a box mix) ranch and bacon pasta salad. Yum!

What about BLT's. Toast some bread, fry some bacon, a bit of mayo, lettuce (or not), and some tomato. Quick and easy.

I love salad. IMO, If you don't like salad, you just haven't had the right salad, yet! What about greek and caesar? Anyways, I love potato and macaroni salad...coleslaw, too. And for some reason I associate plain potato chips with camping. Of course, summer would be complete without fire-roasted hot-dogs, and marshmallows, mmmmm, and popsicles and freezies. And barbecued anything, hot-buttered corn on the cob. Fresh-picked berries, and tomatoes. Mmmm, summer!

crock pots are great.

Throw frozen meat in it in the AM with some onion soup mix and a little water, potatoes, carrots, celery, and come back that evening to a fully cooked meal with no hot house.

BBQ's are good too.

I had completely forgotten the crock pot, thank you. Especially now that my oven has broken down, I am needing a way to easily make meals for my family, and the crock pot had been put away from winter use.
