This world is changing and I realise that makes it hard for families to eat together. We hear any time we watch a certain TV channel how important this is, and as a family we make a huge effort to do it. My child and I always eat together of course, but we include the other members of the extended family that we live with in our meal times at least four times a week (work schedule permitting). Do you make an effort to eat with your kids?

I have always had a rule that we all sit down at the table for our evening meal. Sometimes it's the only time you get to spend together as a family with both parents working. It's nice to see our daughter has also made this a rule in her own home.

I'd like to say we eat together, but in truth, my daughter usually eats in front of the tv, and I usually eat in front of the computer. Eventually, I'll work on changing this, but right now we have more pressing concerns to deal with, so this isn't too high on my list of priorities. We spend plently of time together, otherwise.
