Default Texas Hold em Poker

I loved playing online poker such as Texas Holdem and really am upset that the United States government has decided to limit the ability to fund accounts via banks in the USA. What happened to freedom of choice?
It seems the current White House administration thinks along with policing Iraq that adults should be treated like children in this country.
Does anyone know why Bush decided to push forth such legislation? After all, he is from Texas so it seems fair to suggest that people in Texas might enjoy the game doesn't it?

I think it has more to do with money laundering and tax evasion than freedom of choice issues.

It's hit the online casinos pretty hard as you might expect, and whilst I think that people should be free to gamble with their money if they so wish, I'm not totally against the legislation. I think it was at least implemented with the best of intentions, though whether or not the problems were big enough to warrant this reaction I don't know.

I think lot's of people got into serious financial problems due to these online poker sites. With Casino's the government has at least some type of supervision of what is happening and if the odds are fair but with these online casino sites it is almost impossible to see if things are fair.

This is definitely correct. remember that he has been trying to tax the internet, and since he cannot tax it he will do what it takes from people making that money too.
