My brothers taught me to play poker when I was little, and my family always played a game that seems to be regional, called Auction 45's, and we always played cribbage as well. Anyone here play crib, or have you heard of auction 45's?

My coffee table is a giant cribbage board and I picked it up at a yard sale or something like ten years ago. I love cribbage.

We used to have a cribbage set I think-isn't that the board with the little sticks? We used to use our as miniature swords and pretend that our dolls were having sword fights......

I play rummy, poker-kind of, and snap. But no one in this country seems to know what snap is.

I love snap! We used to play it all the time when I was a kid, and I played it just the other day with my teenager! My reflexes are slow, though, and she beat me! LOL.

Yeah, I am sure that when the time comes, my kid will beat me hands down-the joints don't move like they once did! Carpal tunnel and so on has seen to that!

Glad that you know what it is though-everyone here just give me a blank look.

SingleAgain, I haven't heard of the auction 45's game but I have heard of cribbage thoough I've never played it. Did anyone here ever play a card game called Spoons? I can't remember how to play it, but I DO remember that it was a lot of fun with fast action and lots of laughing.
