Default Monopoly

Who here doesn't love the world famous board game made by parker brothers and Milton Bradley? I remember those days curled up by the fireplace having hours of fun with this game.

I was never a Monopoly fan. It always took too long to finish for my taste. Clue, on the other hand, was a family favourite.

I loved Monopoly-the British version, never played with American streets. They look odd to me

I used to rock at the game but my father would always rag on me saying that I "bought too aggressively and quickly and so no one else had a chance". Pft. If they wanted to buy, they should have done. Sore losers the lot....

I love Monopoly, but I can never finish a game!

When I was younger, my family and I would sit down around the table to play every Thanksgiving. Then, we would play for about two hours, get bored, and put it away. Anybody else have that problem?

Yes, that happened here, too. Or one person would have all the properties down one side, so it wasn't safe to go there but you had to. I always wanted to lose early so I could go do something else.

We rarely quit early, but it could get very nasty in our family. Certain members of the family were poor losers and would hate when someone else got ahead. Suddenly the suggestions of quitting would arise, and people would feign tiredness at three in the afternoon.

I used to love Monopoly. Oh to have that much spare time again to dedicate to a game I remember a blizzard about years ago here in Indiana where my future hubby and brother-in-law and I played a very long game of Monopoly.
