I'm just home from a weekend conference of massage therapists and we had a great workshop on NMT. If you have anyone nearby who practises this therapy, try it out. I'm saving up to take the 10 day course because the snippets of information we got on the weekend were super and there are things I can use on my clients, kids and myself! Very effective therapy.

I am curious though because I have not heard of this. Can you describe the therapy, and is it uncomfortable? More importantly, what is it meant to treat?

Parts of it were a bit uncomfortable, but the results were definitely worth it. The massage I do tends toward the "oh that hurts so good" side of things, anyway, so this fit right in. The workshop on the weekend was specifically for headaches, neck pain and forward head position, and re-educating the muscles to correct postural imbalances. There are also treatments for low back, hips, knees, shoulders, feet...you name it. I want to learn more.

It is certainly interesting. Is it just a variation on massage, or do you use some specific tools for this? How long in all is the education process?
