Default check access speed

I recently got myself a cable internet connection of 2mbps throughput as claimed by my ISP. I wanted to cross check it. Where can I get speed testing tools for the same?

Nice! According to that we are averaging 1.47 which is about right for our ISP. I am happy with that!

I used to be happy with 1.5, but since we went to glass I have grown accustomed to my 5+

I had a 5+ in the city and yes it was nice. But when I came here it wasn't available so I took the best there was. I have yet to notice anything that has suffered from the drop in speed, I am guessing because the places I visit, or download from, are restricted too. So ultimately maybe (right now at least) it's not worth me paying premium for a service that I am not fully utilizing.

A couple days ago I got an offer I could not refuse

Download Speed: 14319 kbps (1789.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 1856 kbps (232 KB/sec transfer rate)

Another place to test your speed: Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test

Slightly different results though
