Default Any motorcycle enthusiasts in these parts?

I started riding motocross when I was 15, then graduated to street bikes when I was 18.

My street bikes, in order:

1942 Harley-Davidson 45ci flathead (chopper)
1969 Triumph 750 Trident (chopper)
1949 H-D (started as a chopper, evolved to a custom restoral)

Currently own:

1968 H-D - built from the scratch . . . it is a project bike
1986 H-D Heritage Softail (limited edition, only 1,700 made)
2006 H-D Electra Glide Classic

That's an impressive collection you've got there, ever have trouble deciding which one to take out?

Are they your everyday mode of transport or are they kept back for cruising along the highway on warm summer nights? I've always been a fan of four wheels - unfortunately I just know too many people that have come off of them.

I wouldn't mind the performance though - my rather boring family car does 0 - 60 in about fifteen minutes which doesn't really quench my thirst for more speed...

I wish I had a Motorcycle. I used to be a hardcore Biker when I was young and stupid. I used to ride in all weather conditions right up until the first real snow fall. I've ridden in torrential downpours, heavy fog, hail, and in -15c temperatures. I even got caught in the snow a few times.
I started on a '76 H-D(Aermacchi) SX-250, then graduated to an '81 Kawasaki 440LTD, and my last bike was an '84 Honda Nighthawk 650. I still have the Italian Harley in my shed.

Deciding what to ride really depends on if I am bringing the dog, or stopping at Starbucks. Then I use the Charger. Of course, if I have a need for speed, the Hemi pretty much takes care of that too.

If I am going to head out somewhere that will have heavy traffic, a bike is the only way to fly.

I'm sure you're very aware by now that you're the envy of all car owners as you cruise up the middle of stationary traffic on a hot friday afternoon after work

You have a nice collection. If we could afford one, we'd definitely get one. My dad used to have a 1979 HD. That bike was sweet. He also built many trikes, and won many competitions at the meets. I'll have to find a picture and show you. When he sold the Harley, he bought a 2002 Yamaha V-Star. It is a good bike, especially if you have bak problems. It has a lower center of gravity. I love riding though, I don't care if it does hurt my back.

My ex-hubby had a motorcycle (Honda Shadow) and we spent a lot of time riding during the summer. I really miss that part of our relationship though not much else about it Hoping my new boyfriend and I will have an HD someday soon.
