Default Creation Taught As Science?

I am not sure that I will ever understand how some people believe that the only theory of the origin of man that should be taught is creation. I personally believe in creation, but I cannot see how anyone could consider it a science. It is faith, meaning that it is something that cannot be proved. Science is about trying to find the proof to support a theory that you once set forth.

I doubt that we will ever be able to prove that God exists so it in no way meets that criteria.

I am beginning to understand how you might think unschooling is a good idea.

Wait a minute, before you start to pick me apart. I never said that I thought unschooling was a good idea, I support and intend to home school. Two very different things, one with structure and focus, one child led. And did I not just say that I think that creation is not the only thing that should be taught? Why is it all of a sudden you have decided to leap on my posts and belittle them-what in the world have I done to you?

Having a belief in God does not make one strange, or wacko. The vast majority of people in this country believe in God and think that the leader of the country should too, so if you have a problem with people who believe, then you have a problem with a whole lot of people.

Again, I see how closed minded the admin. of this forum is. I wish to contribute no more to this. I see why you don't have many members here. How do you plan to run a forum when you can't even respect the opinions of the members?

There is a difference in believing in God, and interpreting the Bible as fact rather than fiction.

And my original post was discussing the fact that I felt that the Bible, or rather creation and the existence of God could never be proved as fact. That therefore it should not be taught as science. So where is the problem?

I quoted the part that I had the problem with. Should be pretty evident.
