I had been a loyal user of Photoshop and never minded paying exhorbitant fe for using full version of it. But a day I was with my friend working over on his linux workstation when I got to use GIMP for first time. Since then I have ben using this free to use open source alternative to photoshop. It is equally powerfull but little bit tricky to use for amateurs, but I had been in this business for a long time so it was relativly easy for me to do it.
